PROFILE
SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Shazeda Begum is an Assistant Professor in the Department of History, Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka-1342, Bangladesh. She has been serving at the Department of History of Jahangirnagar University since 2017. She obtained her M.Phill in “The Impact of Partition on Public Life in East Bengal, 1947-1956” from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. She has completed her BA and MA in history from Jahangirnagar University. Her area of interest includes social, political and economic history of Bengal, Flood, Food crisis, Relief politics, Land reforms and Urban development of East Bengal. She has a number of publications in peer reviewed journals and has presented research papers at National and International Seminars and Conferences as well. Shazeda Begum is the life member of Bangladesh Itihas Samiti, Bangladesh Itihash Parishad and Bangladesh Itihas sommiloni.
