PROFILE
SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Mr. Md Shariful Islam is an Associate Professor in the Department of Marketing at Jahangirnagar University. He was born and raised in the Pabna District of Bangladesh. Currently, he is pursuing a Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at The University of Queensland as a recipient of the prestigious Australia Awards Scholarship 2024.
Previously, he completed his second MBA at the South China University of Technology, China, in 2022, funded by the Youth of Excellence Scheme of China (YES-China 2021) Scholarship. Mr. Islam is also a proud alumnus of Jahangirnagar University, where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Marketing in 2013 and his MBA in 2014.
Mr. Islam joined the Department of Marketing at Jahangirnagar University as a lecturer in 2017. Prior to that, he worked as a lecturer at several private universities in Bangladesh. His passion for marketing and teaching is evident in his work, and he is widely respected by both students and colleagues. He is committed to delivering quality education and helping his students realize their full potential.
Mr. Islam's research interests include Sustainable Consumption, Compensatory Consumption, Marketing Analytics, Consumer Behavior, and Quantitative Techniques. He is an avid learner who continuously seeks opportunities to enhance his knowledge and skills.
