PROFILE
SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Nishat Rayhana Eshita is serving as a lecturer at the Department of Environmental Sciences of Jahangirnagar University in Bangladesh. She has accomplished her B.Sc. (Hons.) and MS degrees from the same department and university. She has been nominated for the 'Prime Minister Gold Medal Award 2020' for scoring the highest marks among all the students of the Mathematical and Physical Sciences faculty of Jahangirnagar University. She was also honored with the 'Nature Science Award' for her excellent performance at the '2019 International Student Conference on Environment and Sustainability (ISCES 2019)’ held at Tongji University (Shanghai, China) organized collaboratively by UN Environment and Tongji Institute of Environment for Sustainable Development.
She has proudly attended and received awards in various national and international environment, climate, and sustainability related summits, olympiads, and conferences. Furthermore, her profound interest in Environmental Data Analyses has inspired her to enrich her knowledge on data analytics, machine learning, web design and development using several programming languages, statistical, geostatistical, and GIS software including Python, R, SPSS, ArcGIS, SuperMap GIS, QGIS, ENVI, MATLAB, Google Earth Pro, NCL, Delft3D, GeoDa, WordPress etc. At this younger age, she has been trying to develop her research skills in the domains of Environmental Data Science, Remote Sensing and GIS.
