PROFILE
SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Prof Dr Mohammed Obaidur Rahman is from Chouddagram, Comilla .He is graduated in the department of Physics, Jahangirnagar University. He has obtained First class First position in Both of his B.Sc (honours) and M.Sc degree and was awarded the ASADUL KABIR GOLD MEDAL for securing highest marks in combined three faculties (Science , Arts and Commerce). He did his Diploma in Condensed Matter Physics (DICTP degree) from the International Centre For Theoretical Physics, Trieste, Italy. He obtained his PhD degree from the Graduate University of Advanced studies Tsukuba, Japan. Further he did his Post-Doctoral research in the university of Bonn, Germany.
He has published lots of papers both in National and International Journals of repue. He is the writer of the book " Particle Induced X-ray Emission (PIXE) Analysis" (Lambert Academic Publishing). Prof Dr Mohammed Obaidur Rahman visited many countries like in USA, UK, Japan, China, Italy, Germany and KSA. Professor Dr Mohammad Obaidur Rahman is a life Fellow of the Bangladesh Physical Society

Present Movements:
Professor Dr Mohammad Obaidur Rahman is actively engaged of the ongoing current movement against the facism. Under the banner and group name "SAVE PHYSICS" which is consists of professors and associate professors of Jahangirnagar University , doing lot of social-works for the students of Jahangirnagar university. At the moment the group is offering all kinds of help including the financial helps for the students those are wounds by the police as well as by facist administration and working very hard for the mentally upset students. The group members are very active at the moments for all kind of well being of the students of Jahangirnagar University as well as for Bangladesh.
