PROFILE
SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman Sarker is a faculty member at the department of Geological Sciences of Jahangirnagar University (JU), Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He obtained his BSc (hon’s) and MS from the same department in 2003 and 2004, respectively. He also obtained his 2nd MSc degree under VLIR-UOS scholarship programme from Universiteit Gent (UGent) and Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Belgium in 2016. He has been awarded PhD in 2022 at the Laboratory for Applied Geology and Hydrogeology, Dept. of Geology, Ghent University, Belgium focusing on groundwater salinity in coastal aquifers of southwest Bangladesh.
