SHORT BIOGRAPHY

Jarin Tasneem Shoilee is working as a lecturer in Department of English, Jahangirnagar University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. She previously worked as a lecturer in English at Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST), Jashore, Bangladesh. She completed her B.A (Hons.) in English and M.A in Literatures in English and Cultural Studies from Jahangirnagar University. Her areas of research interest include gender and sexuality studies, trauma studies, postcolonial literature, comparative literature, psychology and South-Asian literature. Shoilee is also a creative writer and a literary enthusiast. Many of her articles, short stories, flash fictions and poems have been published in reputed national dailies from Bangladesh, such as _The Daily Star_, _The Daily Observer_ as well as in Ekushey Book Fair (2022). She has also participated in various literary events and committees - including creative writing workshops, conferences and Outcome Based Education (OBE) policies etc. Teaching is her passion. In leisure time, she loves listening to music and spending time in nature.
