SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Md. Roni Hossain is working as an assistant professor in the Department of Economics, Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. Before he joined here as a Lecturer at the Department of Economics in 2018, he was serving as a Lecturer of Economics at Notre Dame University Bangladesh (NDUB) from 2017. As a founding member of the department of Economics at NDUB, he made major contributions in developing its new syllabus and course curriculum.
He studied Economics at the Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh and earned his B.Sc. (Honors) and M.Sc. degrees with tremendous academic results. He received few academic scholarships including Dhaka Board Scholarship in 2009 and Government Talent Pool Scholarship in 2013 etc. Mr. Hossain published a number of research articles in different peer reviewed national and international journals. He also successfully completed a number of research projects financed by University Grant Commission (UGC) and Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. His teaching and research include International Trade and Finance, Labor market and Labor Economics, Economic Growth and Development etc.
