SHORT BIOGRAPHY

Asim Chandro Roy is a Character Designer, Cartoonist, Illustrator and Educator. He has been teaching full-time Graphic Design program at Jahangirnagar University since 2021.

He received his graduate degree (MVA, major in Illustration) with the highest academic result from The MS University of Baroda, India and his undergraduate degree (BFA, Applied Arts) with excellence from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata, India.

Before his current teaching position at Jahangirnagar University, he was an Editorial Cartoonist and Illustrator for a variety of Bangladesh's most respected news organisations and publications including The Daily Star, The Prothom Alo, Desh Rupantor. He was awarded the Full funded scholarship at Rabindra Bharati University in 2013 for Bachelor degree and The MS university of Baroda in 2019 for Masters Degree by (ICCR) Indian Government.

Besides he achieved several awards in different art competition. He is very much passionate about illustration and Character Designing.
