PROFILE
SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Md. Al-Amin Khan is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. Dr. Khan pursued his PhD in Engineering Science, majoring in Industrial Engineering, at Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2024 under the supervision of Professor Leopoldo Eduardo Cárdenas Barrón.
As a proud alumnus of Jahangirnagar University, Dr. Khan holds both a BSc (Honours) and an MS degree in Mathematics from the Department of Mathematics, where he excelled, securing the first position in both programs. Moreover, he has been an integral part of the university’s mathematics department since 2014. His academic excellence was recognized with the prestigious SHARFUDDIN GOLD MEDAL for his outstanding performance in the Master’s examination, achieving the highest marks among all faculties in 2012.
Dr. Khan’s research interests span supply chain management, inventory control theory, computational optimization, soft computing, and interval mathematics. His commitment to academic excellence is evident in his prolific publication record, with 44 research articles, among which 37 papers were published in renowned JCR journals such as Omega, International Journal of Production Economics, Journal of Cleaner Production, Expert Systems with Applications, Knowledge-Based Systems, Computers & Industrial Engineering, Computers & Operations Research, Applied Mathematical Modelling, Artificial Intelligence Review, International Journal of Systems Science: Operations and Logistics, Annals of Operations Research, International Transactions in Operational Research, Soft Computing, RAIRO-Operations Research, and others.
