PROFILE

SHORT BIOGRAPHY

Dr. A H M Saadat is a Professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences at Jahangirnagar University, where he has been a faculty member since 2002. He did his graduation and master’s in Physics at Jahangirnagar University, and later he received his M.Phil degree in Environmental Sample Analysis using Ion Beam Materials Analysis from the same institute. Saadat completed his PhD under a Commonwealth Split-Site Scholarship in the UK from the University of Birmingham and Jahangirnagar University.

He has previously served as the Chairman of the Department of Environmental Sciences and the Coordinator of the Professional Master’s program on Environmental Sciences and Management(WMES).
 

Saadat’s teaching interests include Environmental Modelling, Corporate Sustainability and Ethical Business, and Socio-cultural issues in Global Sustainability, GIS, etc..

His primary research interest is in Environmental Monitoring and Modelling of Environmental Systems, water resources, GIS and climate change, corporate sustainability, etc. He has 50+ peer-reviewed research articles covering diverse environmental issues.
