PROFILE


SHORT BIOGRAPHY

Md. Zahidul Islam is currently an Associate Professor, Department of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering, Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He received his PhD from Shizuoka University, Japan, in 2015. He received his MS and B.Sc. in Biotechnology degree in 2003 and 2001 from Khulna University, Bangladesh. As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, he worked in Graduate school of science and technology, Shizuoka University, Japan from October 01, 2015 to December 09. 2016. He also worked in the Quality Control Department of Medimet Pharmaceuticals Ltd., General pharmaceuticals Ltd., Sanofi-Aventis Bangladesh Ltd. (Fisons BD ltd, Hoechst Marion Roussel ltd and Rhone-poulenc Rorer BD Ltd.), and Incepta Vaccine Ltd from 2003 to 2012. He wants to reveal the mechanism or mode of action of cell penetrating peptides on lipid bilayers by the single GUV method. He also wants to establishment of a functional and sustainable bio-system engineering process for the production of commercial products using immobilized enzyme.
