Dr. Tahmina Haque Professor, Department of Chemistry
PROFILE
SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Professor Tahmina Haque has always been fascinated by science, and chemistry specially piqued her interest in college. So professor Haque followed her fascination and received her B.Sc (1997) and M.Sc (1998) degrees in chemistry from Jahangirnagar University in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and her Ph.D. (2014) in chemistry from Tokyo Metropolitan University in Japan. She joined the department of chemistry at Jahangirnagar University in 2005.
Professor Haque’s research is focused on the design and synthesis of π-conjugated organic molecules and investigate their electronic properties through experimental analysis and theoretical computations using DFT and TD-DFT methodologies.
RESEARCH INTEREST
Experimental and theoretical study of π-conjugated organic compounds.
