SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Md. Shawkat Ali is an Economics Professor at jahangirnagar University in Savar, Dhaka-1342. Since 2009, he has worked as a Professor. He began working at Jahangirnagar University in 1994 as a Lecturer. From June 16th to June 15th, he was the Chairman of the Economics Department.
Professor Shawkat earned his M. Sc. in Health Economics from the Department of Economics and Related Studies at the University of York in the United Kingdom in 1998-1999. He also received M. Sc. (in 1990) and B. Sc. (in 1989) in Economics from Jahangirnagar University.
