PROFILE
SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Prodip Chandra Bishwas is a distinguished Bangladeshi academic and researcher in the field of Finance and Banking, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Finance & Banking, Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka. Prior to joining Jahangirnagar University as a faculty member, he taught at the Bangladesh Army University of Engineering & Technology (BAUET), Qadirabad cantonment, Natore, where he also held leadership roles such as Vice-President of the BAUET Business Club and Course Coordinator for several batches.
Prodip has developed a strong academic and research portfolio, with interests spanning corporate finance, financial inclusion, corporate governance, capital markets, and FinTech. His scholarly contributions include publications in reputable international and national journals, such as the Global Journal of Emerging Market Economies, Finance & Economics Review, Future Business Journal, and the Jahangirnagar Journal of Business Studies.
He holds both his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees from Jahangirnagar University with a major in Finance and Banking, graduating top of his class in both programs. His exceptional academic performance earned him the prestigious Prime Minister Gold Medal Award in 2017, awarded to the highest-achieving student in the Faculty of Business Studies.
At Jahangirnagar University, he teaches a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including Financial Engineering, Financial Risk Management, Cost and Management Accounting, Business Research Methodology, and Insurance Concepts and Coverage. Beyond his classroom duties, he is actively engaged in student development and administrative roles, having served as an Assistant Resident Teacher and as the departmental Sports Teacher.
