Nusrat Jahan Associate Professor, Department of Physics
PROFILE
SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Nusrat Jahan is currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at Jahangirnagar University, a position she has held since 17 March 2025. She is presently on study leave and pursuing a PhD in Materials Science at the University of Kentucky, USA. Prior to her current appointment, she served as an Assistant Professor in the same department from 27 June 2021 to 16 March 2025.
Earlier in her academic career, she worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Physics at Jahangirnagar University from 7 January 2019 to 26 June 2021. She began her professional journey as a Lecturer in the Department of Physics at the University of Barishal on 14 March 2016.
Nusrat completed her BSc and MS degrees in Physics from Jahangirnagar University in 2014 and 2015, respectively. She later earned her MPhil in Physics from the same department in 2024, where she continues to contribute as a faculty member.
