(Honours) and M.Sc. in 2005 and 2006, respectively in Zoology from Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. Being specialized in Limnology and Fishery Sciences in M.Sc., he carried out investigations on the effects of heat, radiation and combination of heat and radiation on the microbial loads as well as nutritional contents of dried prawn during storage at room temperature in Bangladesh in his M.Sc. thesis. He joined at the Department of Zoology as a Lecturer in 2010, and promoted to an Assistant Professor and an Associate Professor in 2013 and 2018, respectively. He was also involved in the histological studies of some fish which are exposed to various types of pesticides, and studied on the planktonic variations of migratory bird inhabiting lakes in Jahangirnagar University Campus, Bangladesh. He awarded the Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho:MEXT) Scholarship for Ph.D. program in 2014, and obtained his degree in Symbiotic Science of Environment and Natural Resources in 2017 from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Japan. In his doctoral study, he mainly focused on the movement, transfer and fate of radionuclide in riparian ecosystems after the Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear Power Plants accident in Japan. He also conducted intensive research on environmental impacts from contaminants, climate change and resources extraction to evaluate their impact on the health of aquatic habitats at the Aquatic Health Program, School of Veterinary Medicine, University of California, Davis, USA. He attended several conferences and symposia at home and abroad.
