PROFILE
SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Zahidul Bari is currently an Associate Professor in the Department Geological Sciences at Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh. He obtained his B.Sc. (Hons) and M.Sc. degrees in Geological Sciences from the Jahangirnagar university in 1997, 1998, respectively. Mr. Bari has more than twelve years of experience in academy and research. He began his career as a Scientific Officer (Geology) in 2006 in the Nuclear Minerals Unit (NMU) of Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC). In 2007 he joined in the University. His research focuses chiefly on Landform evolution of the central part of Bangladesh and its relation to neotechtonics. Geochemistry of clastic sediments in relation to provenance. Isotope geology of radioactive beach placer minerals. Sedimentology of siliciclastic sediments.
He has published several research articles / conference papers in national and international peer reviewed scientific journals.
