SHORT BIOGRAPHY

A committed Assistant professor having four years of teaching experience of various social and cultural backgrounds students at Jahangirnagar University. Possessing excellent administrative, verbal communication and written skills along with constructive and effective teaching methods that promote a stimulating learning environment.

Md. Alamgir Hossen Bhuiyan basically works with Environment, Disaster Management, Sattelite navigation systems and Application of  GIS (Geographical Information Systems) and RS (Remote Sensing) for his academic research purpose. In recognition of his bright career he completed his Honours dissertation and Master’s thesis using GIS and Digital Image Processing approaches in Environmental management for reducing climate change impact. He skilled at GIS and RS having extensive teaching and field experience. Mr. Alamgir has been engaged in teaching in the Department of Geography and Environment, Jahangirnagar University and currently serving as a Assistant Professor. Besides his teaching involvement, he was engaged with a wide range of research and training programmes initiated by Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh Academy for Rural Development (BARD), Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), Disaster Forum and so on. He has already published10 research works in his field of expertise. In his academic career, he secured all through first class (SSC and HSC levels) and first classes in the B.Sc. (honours) and M.Sc. (thesis) examinations with outstanding performance and first place. He taught students Environment, GIS, GPS and RS related  courses  at Department of Geography and Environment, Jahangirnagar university undergraduate and postgraduate level.
