2013-2016 | Bright Sparks Scholarship, Malaysian Ministry of Education and University of Malaya (UM) supported top-most students’ scholarship for the year 2013-2016. This scholarship was provided for my PhD studentship based on the academic and research excellency.

2002-2003 | Research Fellowship, National Science and Information & Communication Technology (NSICT) Fellowship, Government of Bangladesh. This fellowship was conferred upon my Master’s thesis, which was considered to be the top-ranking. 

1999-2003 | Research Fellowship, University Merit Scholarship. This scholarship was awarded to me based on my best academic performances, I stood 1st in First Class in order of merit among my 20 classmates in every year of my Bachelor’s and Master’s classes.

2001-2002 | Research Fellowship, Nippon Foundation–Bangladesh Scholarship Council Scholarship. This was also for my top-most academic position in the university student life.

1998 | Jahangirnagar University Entrance Scholarship. This was gifted to me for my standing 1st  in the admission test.

RESEARCH INTEREST

Conducting research at the laboratory of Alternative Medicine and Behavioral Neuroscience at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Jahangirnagar University. Current projects include anti-oxidative, cardiovascular disease preventive, Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease ameliorating studies incorporating natural products, herbs, medicinal plants and fungi. Anti-cancer studies effects of natural products are also ongoing. Most recently focusing on COVID-19: strategies to dampen SARS-CoV-2 onslaught.
