Dr. A K M Yusuf Hassan Professor, Department of Drama & Dramatics



Md. Kamal Hossain was born in Noakhali district of Bangladesh. He completed his schooling from Armanitola Govt. High School, Dhaka. He finished his HSC from Govt. Science College and then went to Jahangirnagar University earning his bachelor and master degrees in Physics. For his master at JU, he worked with Prof. Dr. Abul Hossain in the area of polymer composite. In 2012, he was awarded EMEA (Erasmus Mundus Europe Asia) scholarship funded by European Commission (EC). He completed another masters in Nanotechnology (specialization: Nano-materials) from the University of Pierre and Marie Curie, France. He successfully completed an internship project on "Optical spectroscopy of Graphene Quantum Dots" at LPQM, Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan, France and a project titled as “Synthesis and Optical characterization of morphologically different ZnO nanopowders and their interaction with hydrogen†at INSP, University of Pierre and Marie Curie, France. Later, he worked at Daffodil International University as a lecturer in Physics. Recently, he is working in collaboration with the group Bangladesh Institute of Computational Chemistry and Biochemistry (http://computchembiochem.com/) coordinated by Mohammad A. Halim to investigate the chemical modifications in RNA bases for designing better short interfering RNA. To know more about Md.
